You do not need to click to the specific tab to designate the location of the element. After adding a new element, you can use the Screen Selection to move around elements instead to save time.
The Layout Tab specified general information about the element required for general design.
Name - The unique name for the element.
Caption – The visible name (label) as seen on the actual Smart Form.
Description – A tooltip about the element when using the mouse-over function to help users understand what it is used for.
Header Element – Places the element in the Header section of the Smart Form.
Detail Element – Places the element in the Detail section of the Smart Form.
Totals Element – Places the element in the Totals section of the Smart Form.
Footer Element – Places the element in the Footer section of the Smart Form.
