ERM

Enterprise Report Management (ERM) electronically captures printed output from your accounting or other business system and stores the document in DocLink.  In the imaging industry, ERM can also be referred to as COLD or Computer Output to Laser Disc.

You can configure ERM automatically to:

  1. Identify the type of document that has been captured.
  2. Extract index properties from the document.
  3. Filter unwanted characters or data from the document.
  4. Associate a template with the document.
  5. Save the document and its index properties in DocLink.

ERM configuration consists of the following tasks that are explained in detail in this chapter:

  1. Creating a Virtual ERM Printer to print documents to ERM.
  2. Configure ERM system options – configure input sources, ERM folder locations and archive schedule.
  3. Configure document types for ERM processing – define processing options for a specific document type and assign templates.

If you have not purchased ERM, it will be displayed in the Service Monitor, but it will be inaccessible.
