If you are on a transaction entry screen in your business application and Quick-link has been configured for workflow, you will see the doc-link Integration Enabler icon appear in the system tray and the doc-link smart client open in the Taskbar.
If workflow is enabled you will see an icon. If
it is disabled you will see an
icon. You
can enable and disable workflow from the doc-link
Integration Enabler icon's right-click menu depending on whether there
are corresponding images in doc-link to process
or update.
Steps to index and move documents through workflow:
The business application must be opened to the screen that is configured for Quick-link, data must be entered in the screen's fields, and the Quick-link Enabler must be running in the system tray.
The doc-link Integration Enabler will also appear in the system tray. The Integration Enabler should be running in Enabled & Show mode.
With a document highlighted in the Smart Client Workflow window and loaded in the viewer with the Smart Form Index tab opened, place the focus on your business application and enter the event configured to trigger the indexing action.
If the integration works correctly you will see values fill in on the Index tab, the selected document move to the next workflow status (displayed in the viewer's Send to field), and the document type will change.
The next document on the workflow grid will automatically load in the viewer for processing.
Ask your doc-link Administrator, or view the Quick-link Configuration Report, to find out detailed information regarding what events have been configured to trigger an indexing action.
Switch to Discovery Mode to highlight fields that are mapped to indexing and search actions.
