Installation of the Remote Approvals Feature

Remote approvals allow doc-link users to be notified when a document has been sent to their specific workflow status for processing. From their email client, then will be able to:

  1. On the IIS Server, run the web server installation as per the instructions outlined in the Server Install Guide. You can find this in the Documentation folder where the installation media is. Choose Custom setup when prompted.
  2. Ensure the doc-link Remote Workflow feature has been enabled and all other options are disabled.
  3. Click Next.
  4. On the Web Client Web Configuration screen, enter the corresponding server and database info.
  5. Click Next to continue the setup and installation.
  6. Once installed, open IIS Manager and go to Application Pools. Right-click on the Altec.RemoteWorkflow.AppPool and select Advanced Settings from the context menu.

    Configure the identity to run under the doc-link service account.
