New/Edit HTML Screen

Make sure you have the HTML application open in a web browser and there are field values entered on the web page before proceeding.

  1. On the Quick-link New/Edit Screen window, enter or change the Screen Name.

  2. Click the Select Screen... button to launch the Quick-link Windows Identifier. This tool provides a means for Quick-link to identify the web page you wish to enable.

  3. Once the Quick-link Windows Identifier correctly identifies a web page, the page title will be inserted in the Screen Caption field.

  4. Under Identification Options enter the text you wish to search for in the web page title bar and choose whether the window caption Begins with, Contains or Ends with your selected text. Note by default the value entered in this field will match the text displayed in the Screen Caption field.

Be sure to modify the text in this field so that it is generic for all transactions.  For example, some invoice/voucher entry screens will display a batch number in the title bar, since the same batch number will not apply to all instances of this screen, modify the text so it does not contain a batch reference.

  1. Under HTML Page Identifications enter additional identifiers that must match on the web page in order to correctly identify the screen as Quick-link enabled. Click the Add button to open the HTML Elements window where you can map to specific HTML elements and uniquely identify this screen. It is recommended that you configure at least one additional identifier.

  1. Click the Test button to test your settings.

Continue to adjust options on this window until a positive test result is returned.

Expand the + sign next to your screen name in the folder list and click on Field Mappings to continue.
