Example of Dynamic Routing Using Property Validations

The property validations for Email, Fax, and Print provided previously have been configured for the document type.

ERM has been configured to look in the upper left-hand corner of the document for the Email, Fax, and Print properties.

Process:

  1. ERM has to determine if the value located in this area is an Email, Fax, or Print property value.
  2. Based on the validations:
    1. An Email property must have an '@' in the middle of the text string.
    2. A Fax property value must have a hyphen followed by 4 numbers in the last 5 characters of the text string.
    3. A valid Print property value must equal the text string 'Print'.
  3. Once ERM has indexed the document, Output Manager can be configured with a dynamic recipient that will utilize the values in the Email, Fax, or Print properties to dynamically route the document.
