Create a New Template

To create a new template, click the New button from the Template Manager. The New Template window will open.

The window shows templates by type, blank and recent templates and a template preview.

  1. First, choose the template type to configure. The middle window pane will display all available templates for the selected template type. Use the Search button and textbox to search for existing templates.
  2. If a blank template is desired, double click this option to open the template or highlight the template and click the Create button.
  3. Single click any user-defined custom template to see a preview of it.
  4. Use the Template Properties tab settings to name the template, specify the template details, and select a source.
  5. Use the Data Token tab settings to use dynamic property replacement functionality.  Double click each row to insert it into the template body. The Data Tokens will be different depending on the Data Source chosen from the Template Properties.
  6. Use the Design Options and Home Options ribbons to design the body of the template.
  7. When the template design is complete, click the Publish button on the Home tab ribbon to publish the template for use with the doc-link Event Manager.
