Capturing a Text File

  1. Select the document using the originating application.
  2. Print or output the file to the ERM input source.
  3. The document is sent to the specified ERM input source as a text file. ERM will process the file and, based on the ERM configuration, determine the document type, locate the property values, determine the top-level folder, index the document and store it in doc-link.
  4. If the document type has been configured for Output Manager, the document will be automatically routed to the appropriate recipients.

It is recommended that a separate ERM input source be created for text files.  For more information about configuring ERM input sources, click here.
