The Document Viewer

You can view all hosted DocLink documents in the DocLink Document Viewer. The document type and document ID are displayed in the viewer's title bar.

The permissions that have you have been granted will determine the actions you can take in the viewer.

If a permission has not been granted or it has been denied, the functionality will be disabled in the viewer. See your DocLink administrator for more information regarding DocLink security.

Permission

Description

View

In order to inquire for and view a document you must have permission to view the document’s top-level folder and document type

Output

In order to print, email, save, or download a document you must have permission to output the document's top-level folder and document type.

Annotations

In order to view or apply annotations you must have permission to annotate the document's top-level folder and document type.

Re-Index

The Index tab in Document Details will be disabled unless you have been granted re-index permission to the document's top-level folder and document type.

Repaginate

Grants the ability to reorder, transfer, or delete pages for the document's top-level folder and document type.

Document Notes

Create Approve/Deny - In order to view and create approve and deny notes users must have this permission granted. If it is set to 'Denied', the Notes tab will not be visible.

Create Info - In order to view and create info notes users must have this permission granted. If it is set to 'Denied', the Notes tab will not be visible.

View - In order to view document notes only, without permission to create them, users must have this permission granted. If it is set to 'Denied', the Notes tab will not be visible.

Smart Forms

In order to access and use smart forms (example distribution stamps) you must have permission to a smart form for this document's top-level folder and document type.
