Output Manager has two types of recipients: Standard and Dynamic. When you utilize dynamic recipients, Output Manager dynamically routes the document based on information located on the document, which is called dynamic routing.
Standard recipients are simply regular recipients that have been entered into Output Manager. Their routing information does not change. Configuring standard recipients provides maximum flexibility. Each standard recipient can be individually configured to meet his or her own preferences including:
This flexibility requires that each individual recipient be configured in Output Manager. This configuration process can be time consuming and you may already have multiple systems that store the same type of recipient information.
Dynamic recipients are recipients whose routing destination is based on information contained on the document rather than configuration information entered into Output Manager. For example, an invoice is printed with a fax number on the document and ERM captures the fax number and indexes the document with that information. Output Manager can then automatically fax the document to the fax number by creating a dynamic recipient that is configured to fax using the property that contains the fax number.
