ERM Printers Aren't Displayed

Question: I’m configuring a secure document, but the list of printers to select from is empty.

Response: The ERM service is designed to automatically detect the printers available to the computer running the ERM service. If a list of printers isn’t being displayed, check the following:

  1. Make sure the ERM service has been turned on at least once in order for doc-link to gather a list of available printers. Click here for more information about running the ERM service.
  2. Make sure that the log on specified for the ERM service has access to the printers.
  3. If the appropriate printer does not appear in the list, make sure the computer where the ERM service is installed has access to that printer.
  4. If the printer still does not appear on the list, reinstall the printer on the computer where the ERM service is installed using the log on account specified for the service.
