The Quick-link Configuration Designer accessed from the doc-link Administrator allows you to:
Identify and enable application screens Quick-link will integrate with.
Map fields found on application screens with doc-link properties.
Define events (mouse, button or keyboard) that will trigger an integration action (either Index or Search).
Define criteria used for Index and Search actions.
After a one time configuration, doc-link users activate the Quick-link Application Enabler in their system tray each time they wish to use the integration.
To access Quick-link configuration, the doc-link Remote Host Service must be running.
Quick-link limitations:
Quick-link cannot integrate with applications written in MS Access.
Cannot integrate with applications written in Great Plains Dexterity.
Cannot integrate with Java web applications.
Cannot map to fields displayed in a grid, (distribution details can be indexed via auto-index).
