Unless the following fields match – This setting is used as a double-check during the creation process where two distinct fields must match otherwise doc-link will prevent the document create process from occurring.
For example: An expense report header total (Expenditure) would equal the sum of all individual line items of the details section (Total Expense). If this wasn’t true, the user would be prevented from creating the document.
Maximum Rows in Detail – This setting refers to the maximum number of rows that can be in the detail section of the Smart Form. The default value 0 = no maximum.
Minimum Rows Displayed – This setting determines the minimum number of rows that must be visible in the Smart Form. The default value 0 = no minimum and will truncate the detail section until at least one row has been created.
Create multiple doc-link documents based on line item detail – This option is a grouping function where doc-link will sort by the specified field and create distinct documents based on each uniquely found value in that Smart Form field.
For example: If importing a credit card statement from Visa, where Line Item = Card Holder, doc-link would create a new document for each different card holder.
Use user templates – Enabling the user templates box allows the Smart Form user to save frequently used data configurations into a template to prevent data repetition.
If selected, the Delete Template and Save as Template buttons in the Smart Form ribbon will be enabled.
Can import line item values from CSV (ignores Max. Rows setting) – Enabling the import from CSV box allows the user to import CSV files. The CSV will import into the detail section sequencially into the Smart Form.
If selected, the Import button in the Smart Form ribbon will be enabled.

ALL fields need to be represented when importing into a Smart Form. The fields from the CSV file should match one-to-one with the elements in the detail section. Before importing a CSV into doc-link, ensure all parentheses used as an indicator or negative amounts, like '(105.95)', be converted to a negative dash symbol, like '-105.95.' |
CSV Includes Headers – If the CSV file contains header fields, this box must be checked so that doc-link will ignore headers and start the import on the first line of data. Do not check this if headers do not exist.
Can include attachments – Enabling the attachments check box allows users to index additional documents the Smart Form data. The Index as drop-down box must specify a document type to be created when attachments are added with the originating document. On creation, the attachment is saved and indexed with the property value(s) common to both document types.
If selected, the Attach button in the Smart Form ribbon will be enabled.
