Auto-Number Process Manager

The auto-number process manager is used to define the numbering scheme for the auto-numbering field.

GENERIC – The generic process is used when a separate number scheme is not used for each company.

1. If a new numbering scheme needs to be created and separated by each company, click Add to create a new process.
2. Name the process and check the box to Use separate number scheme for each Company.
3. Click OK to save.

Processes that use separate number schemes for each company must have the number assignment triggered when the Company value field changes. This specific setting is configured on the Auto Number Tab under the Assign Value section.

Once you click OK, this option can no longer be changed.
