Ad Hoc Reports

Custom reports can be created using Microsoft® Report Builder and accessed from Report Manager in the doc-link Administrator. These custom reports are listed under the heading "Ad Hoc" in Report Manager.

Configuration of the location of these reports is located in the System Settings options (System Settings… > Environment > SSRS). See the section in Chapter 3: System Configuration titled To Configure SSRS Settings for additional information. When the settings for SSRS have been configured, the Ad hoc view will be visible. Ad hoc reports are fully customizable and configured using Microsoft® Report Builder.

Previewing Ad Hoc Reports

To preview ad hoc reports:

  1. Expand the Ad hoc folder group to see a listing of all custom reports.
  2. Select the report you wish to run from either the folder list or the right side of the window.
  3. The right side of the window changes and the Execute button is enabled.
  4. Click the Execute button to run the report. The report viewer will open.

Creation and management of SSRS reports is outside the scope of doc-link.
