Remote approvals allow DocLink users to be notified when a document has been sent to their specific workflow status for processing. From their email client, then will be able to:
This can all be accomplished without the need to log into the Smart Client.
Users will receive a notification from DocLink in their email stating a document has arrived and is waiting for approval. They would then decide to approve/deny the document by clicking on one of the two links provided.
Let's assume they click the 'Approve' link. At this point, their default web browser will launch to show a message stating the document was successfully routed to the 'Approved' status. Nothing happens to the email until the user manually archives or deletes it.
If the email does not get archived or deleted, and the user attempts to click the 'Approve' link again, DocLink will recognize this and return a message in the default browser that the document has already been moved.
