Index Non-TIFF File Types

If you are processing files other than TIFFs or PDFs, DocLink will attempt to launch the file in the viewer associated with the file. So if for example, if you are processing TXTs you must have Notepad or another text editor installed on your computer to view it while indexing.

If you attempt to open a batch containing mixed document type, you will be presented with a message box asking which files you wish to index.

DocLink's full functionality is only available for documents stored in TIFF format. Functionality available to TIFF files include automated routing to a printer via Output Manager, application of annotations in the DocLink viewer, and manual OCR indexing.
