Routing Color Documents

To route color document via Output Manager, you must capture documents as color TIFF files.

  1. Scanned or faxed TIFF files must utilize LZW compression and render in 8 Bits Per Pixel (BPP) color.
  2. ERM captured documents must originate as an EMF file type (PCL and Text are not supported). Administrators can specify whether a color or black and white TIFF is to be created during the ERM process. This configuration takes place at the document type level.

When routing a color TIFF via email, FTP or file copy, the recipient will receive a color TIFF that will display as a color document.

When routing a color TIFF via a print output method, the document will print in color if sent to a color printer. Note that if routing a color TIFF as a supplemental document, the master document and supplemental document(s) must be routed to the same printer.
