New/Edit Search Action

  1. Name your search in the Search Action Name field.

  2. From the list select all the doc-link  document type(s) you wish to search for. Click the Select All button to search all document types.

  3. From Search Properties, Check the Property Selected box next to the property value(s) you wish to use as search criteria.  Only properties that are associated with the selected document type and mapped to fields in the enabled application will be listed.  When the search event is executed, documents found matching search criteria will display.

    1. If one match is found, the image will launch directly in the doc-link Viewer.

    2. If more than one match is found, results will display in the search results window.

  4. If the search property in on the business application screen must be transformed to match the property in doc-link click the Edit button to open the Property Configuration window.

  5. Select the configured event you wish to link this action to.  You can select one or more events.  If the Triggering Events list is blank, click the Add Events... button to configure a new one. The New/Edit Events window will open.

If you are enabling a transaction entry screen, configure an Indexing Action to continue.
