ERM Appears to be Processing Partial Files

Question: ERM seems to be working, but sometimes the entire file doesn't get processed. When I look at the file in the Archive directory, some of the original file appears to be missing.

Response: The ERM file being generated is being processed before the entire file is finished writing. So essentially ERM starts processing pieces of the document.

To resolve this issue:

  1. From the Administration tab, click on the Service Monitor tile. Go to doc-link ERM Service > Management > Service Configuration.
  2. Select the Input Source from the grid you need to configure and click on the Properties button or double-click on the input source. Either option will open the Input Source Configuration dialog window.
    1. Click on the Options tab.
    2. Check the Delay Processing for (minutes) box and enter '1' in the field.
    3. Click OK to save and exit.
  3. For a printer configured for EMF or XPS processing:
    1. From the desktop, press the Windows key + 'R' on your keyboard to open the Run command dialog window.
    2. Type CONTROL PRINTERS, then press 'Enter'.
    3. Right-click on the ERM printer and select Printer Properties from the context menu.
    4. Go to the Advanced tab and select the Start printing after last page is spooled option.
    5. Click OK to save and exit.
  4. You may need to restart the doc-link ERM Service for the changes to take effect.
