Data Source - Connection String Wizard

The opetions on the Connection Properties dialog window help to define the data provider connection string.

1. Data Source - Use the Change... button to modify the data source.
   • By default this setting is 'Microsoft SQL Server (SqlClient)'.
2. Server Name Enter the name of the database sever or use the drop down menu to select it.
3. Log on to the server:
   • Select the radio button for the method by which you will be connecting to the data source. The account must have at least read access.
4. Connect to a database:
   • Select the radio button for the database connection method.
   • Enter the database name or use the drop down menu to select it.
   • If you are attaching a file, use the Browse... button to search for it.
5. Click on the Advanced... button to configure additional option for the data source.
6. Click the Test Connection button to test your data source connection. You will receive a confirmation message if doc-link is able to successfully connect.
7. Click OK to save your changes.
