Send Documents to Another Status

After reviewing and/or approving a document you can send it to the next processing step.  Workflow activities can be statuses in the same, or different workflows. When a document is moved, the workflow window is refreshed and the next document image in the grid is loaded in the viewer.

Sending Documents to Another Status Using the Viewer:

After applying annotations or a distribution stamp, you can quickly move the document to the next workflow status by using the Workflow toolbar in the viewer.

• Select the status you want to send the document to from the To drop-down box.  Click Send.
• You can browse documents in the current workflow by clicking the arrow keys.
• You can remove the document from workflow by clicking the button.
• You can view the documents supporting documents by clicking the button.
• To send the document to a new workflow, click the button. This will open the Select Workflow dialog window where you can specify the new workflow, status, and category to send the document to. If you have access to only one workflow, this button will be disabled.

Sending Documents to Another Status from Workflow Search Results:

Select a document from the list. To select more than one document, hold down the Shift or Ctrl key on your keyboard as you click each document.

• Select an appropriate status from the Send To: drop-down (the default status will automatically be displayed). The list will include all workflow and statuses you can send the document(s) to. It will be alphabetized by status name. If you do not see the status you want listed, ask your DocLink administrator to add it. Click the Send button to route the documents to your selected status.

  

• Alternatively, you can click the down arrow on the Send button to display statuses grouped by workflow. Select a status to route it.

The list of workflow documents you see is filtered based on the top-level folders and document types you have been granted access to, and any configured property filters. If you are running a side-by-side integration multi-select is disabled, only one document at a time can be sent to another status.
