Create a hidden folder share called IMSTORE$ on the server. Allow 'Full Control' (owner level in Server 2008) to the following two groups
The domain account running DocLink services on the DocLink server. Add this identity to the local administrators group on the server hosting the IMSTORE.
The IIS_IUSRS group containing the domain account running the Altec.Remote.AppPool in IIS (on the DocLink Remote Server).
Login to the Smart Client with an administrative account. (Default admin account: username = 'Administrator'; password = 'admin').
On the Administration tab, click the System Settings tile. Select Documents from the expanded Environment tree and click the Add… button.
In the Description box of the new window that opens, type IMSTORE.
Select the File System (shared folder) option button and then click Browse.
Type the following path: \\servername\IMSTORE$ and click OK.
Check the box to make this the Default Document Store.
Click OK to save.
Click OK again, on the System Settings window, to exit.
If at any time the IMStore needs to be moved to a different location (hard drive, new server, etc.), repeat the steps above and update the path reference in Step 6.
