Configure a Remote Profile

  1. The Remote Profile screen opens. Creating a remote profile is only applicable if configuring user's access to DocLink Smart Client. If your organization does not use the DocLink Smart Client module, leave this window blank.
  2. To configure remote access:
    1. Select the Enable Remote user check box.
      • Select the URL from the drop-down list.
    2. If the user is a business partner, select the External Business Partner Using Web Client Portal check box.
      • Use this in conjunction with Quick Search to configure document access specific to the user's needs.
    3. Enter the user's Organization.
  3. Click Next to continue to Configure External Apps User IDs, if necessary.

 

The External column in the main user grid will indicate if users have a remote user profile configured.
