Change Current Password

Instructions here are for accounts created in DocLink that are not LDAP accounts.

If LDAP is used, password changes are managed through Active Directory. Any changes here will be overwritten by an update with the LDAP connection to AD.

To change the password of the account you are currently using:

  1. Log in to DocLink Smart Client using your current password.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Change Password…. The Change Password dialog will be displayed.
  3. Enter the new Password. Remember that the password is case sensitive.
  4. You must enter the Password a second time to confirm the password’s accuracy.
  5. The next time you log into any DocLink application, you will need to use the new password.

Change Another User's Password

To change the password of another DocLink user account:

  1. From the Administration tab, click on the Users tile.
  2. Select the appropriate user and double-click to open.
  3. Click Reset Password to display the Reset Password dialog.
    1. Enter the new Password. Remember that the password is case sensitive.
    2. To Confirm Password, enter it a second time.
    3. Click OK.
  4. The next time the user logs into DocLink they will need to use the new password.
