Assign Quick Searches

Quick Searches are intended to be used for external users to limit viewing capabilities in the Web Client. They are also a required for DocLink Mobile app users to search and retrieve documents.

In order to access Quick Searches:

  1. The user must be assigned to a role that specifies the Quick Search on the Quick Search tab and grants permission to Search Documents on the Permissions tab.
  2. The user must not be assigned to a role that specifies the Quick Search on the Quick Search tab and denies permission to Search Documents on the Permissions tab.

 

How to Assign Quick Searches

  1. Open the Roles window and select the Quick Searches tab to assign specific quick searches for the role.  The grid displays a list of each quick search that has been associated with the role.
  2. To add a quick search to the role, click the Add button.  The Select Quick Search dialog is displayed.  All quick searches that have not already been associated with the role are displayed in the grid
    1. To locate a quick search in the displayed list, enter a text string located within the item and click Search.  The quick search containing the text string will be displayed in the grid.  Click the Clear button to refresh the grid.
    2. Select one or more quick searches and click OK.
    3. The selected quick search will be associated with the role on the Quick Searches tab.
  3. To delete a quick search from the role, select it and click Remove.
  4. Continue this process until all appropriate quick searches have been associated with this role.
