Configure Quick-link

The Quick-link Configuration Designer, accessed by clicking the Quick-link tile on the Administration tab, allows you to:

  1. Identify and enable application screens Quick-link will integrate with.
  2. Map fields found on application screens with DocLink properties.
  3. Define events(mouse, button or keyboard) that will trigger an integration action (either Index or Search).
  4. Define criteria used for index and search actions.

After a one time configuration, DocLink users activate the Quick-link Application Enabler in their system tray each time they wish to use the integration.

To access Quick-link configuration, the DocLink Remote Host Service must be running.

Quick-link limitations:

  • Quick-link cannot integrate with applications written in MS Access.
  • Cannot integrate with applications written in Great Plains Dexterity.
  • Cannot integrate with Java web applications.
  • Cannot map to fields displayed in a grid, (distribution details can be indexed via auto-index).
