Linked Documents

Enable Linked Documents Processing

Management of linked documents processing is done in Service Monitor. By default, this functionality is turned off. To enable it, follow the steps outlined below.

  1. In Service Monitor, go to DocLink Support Service > Management > Service Configuration. The Linked Document Processing screen will open.
  2. Select the options that will be used to control Linked Documents processing
    1. Linked Documents Processing
      • Run Continuously - Keep the service running all day without any gaps in processing.
      • Run only between the hours - Allows you to configure the service to start/stop during specific times during the day to ease servers with high intermittent processing loads.
    2. Queue new documents... - If enabled, will process all documents ready to be synchronized with DocLink. If unchecked, DocLink will not process any documents.
    3. Maximum Number of Attempts - Set a threshold for how many time DocLink will attempt to process documents. After threshold is met, DocLink will no longer process them.
    4. XML Import UNC Path - This is the path where the integration will drop the synced files ready to be processed. This must be a UNC path and the path must have full sharing and security rights to the logon service given to the DocLink Support Service.

Processing Queue

Access to the linked documents processing queue is through Service Monitor > DocLink Support Service > Management > Linked Documents. From here you are able to see all documents that are currently in the queue and those documents that have been successfully processed.
