Integration Enabler

When users open an integrated screen in their accounting application, the Integration Enabler will launch DocLink Workflow automatically by default. If users don't want to process documents from Workflow, they can disable or hide Workflow via the Integration Enabler, allowing them to work in the accounting application without processing new DocLink documents. In addition, users can configure it so Workflow will never open automatically when they navigate to an integrated accounting application window or always open. The Enabler runs in the system tray or as a toolbar application on the client workstation. The Integration Enabler is automatically installed with the DocLink Smart Client application.

Integration Enabler Properties

Integration Enabler properties can be configured by right-clicking the icon in the system tray and selecting the appropriate mode you wish to run. If you are using the toolbar application, just click on the appropriate mode.

Using the Integration Enabler

System Tray

The integration can be enabled/disabled by right-clicking the Integration Enabler icon in the system tray and selecting the mode you wish to run the integration in.

When he integration enabler is active, a green 'play' button will display on the icon. Expected behavior is determined based on mode properties selected from the Enabler's right-click menu.

When the integration enabler is disabled, a red 'stop' button will appear on the icon.

When the integration enabler is active and hidden (enable and hide mode), a yellow 'play' button will appear on the icon. If this setting is checked, the integration will run in the background and Workflow will not open when a user opens an integrated data entry screen. Integration will handle updates to existing documents but the user cannot index new documents via Workflow.

Floating Toolbar

On the initial launch of the workflow and document viewer, in integrated mode, the Integration Enabler displays as a toolbar. This happens only once. Subsequent launches of workflow in integrated mode may require you to select the Tools drop down menu and click the Show Integration Enabler Toolbar option.

By default, Integration Enabler launches in the last remembered state. For example: if a user is on a data entry screen and manually close workflow (enable & hide) the next time the user returns to that screen the Integration Enabler launches in the same state.

This default behavior can be over written by checking either Manually Enable or Always Enabled from the Integration Enabler's right-click menu.
